Gwladys Nocera wins Hero Women’s Indian Open, Vai​shavi Sinha slips up on the last hole.

New Delhi, 6th December 2014: Gwladys​ Nocera overcame a slight blip in form to card a score of one-under 72 on the final day for a three day total of 11-under 208, which was enough for the French golfer to win the US$ 300,000 Hero Women’s Indian Open 2014, tri-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET), the Ladies Asian Golf Tour (LAGT) and the Women’s Golf Association of India (WGAI) here at the Delhi Golf Club on Thursday.  India’s Vaishavi Sinha, who was in sole second spot after two rounds, suffered a meltdown on the 18th hole in which she double bogied to slip to sole fifth place on the final leaderboard. 

Gwladys Nocera maintains lead, but India’s Vaishavi Sinha remains in hot pursuit.

New Delhi, 5th December 2014: France’s Gwladys Nocera struck red-hot form as she scorched the Delhi Golf Club course to return a card of nine-under 64 in the opening round of the $ 300,000 Hero Women’s Indian Open, tri-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET), the Ladies Asian Golf Tour (LAGT) and the Women’s Golf Association of India (WGAI) here on Thursday. Nocera, 39, set a new one-day course record bettering Gauri Monga’s five under which the Indian golfer set in the second round of the 2010 Delhi Ladies Open.

English golfer Holly Clyburn wins the Pro-Am of the Hero Women’s Indian Open 2014.

New Delhi, 3rd December 2014: English golfer Holly Clyburn, who is yet to win any major tournament so far made a great start by leading her team to a fine win in the Pro-Am of the Hero Women’s Indian Open 2014 today. The 8th edition of the tournament which is tri sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET), the Ladies Asian Golf Tour (LAGT) and the Women’s Golf Association of India (WGAI) kick-started at the historic Delhi Golf Club. Clyburn’s team included Amit Luthra, Harinder Sikka and Surinder Kumar.

Stars ready to tee off at the 8th Hero Women’s Indian Open’14

New Delhi, 2nd December 2014: The tree-lined narrow course of The Delhi Golf Club is ready to host the likes of Thidapa Suwannapura, Carlota Ciganda, Gwladys Nocera, Vani Kapoor and Sharmila Nicollet for the eighth edition of Hero Women’s Indian Open. The three-day event is being held at the historic Delhi Golf Club from 4th to 6th December.

The US$ 300,000 event - tri-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET), the Ladies Asian Golf Tour (LAGT) and Women's Golf Association of India (WGAI) will see 108 top professionals from around the globe fighting for the top spot.

The Hero Women’s Indian Open for 2014 was announced today to tee off at the picturesque Delhi Golf Club from the 4th to 6th December 2014. The 8th edition will see likes of defending champion Thidapa Suwannapura (defending champion), Gwladys Nocera (2008 OOM Winner + 12 career LET victories) and Carlota Ciganda (2012 OOM Winner + Player of the Year + Rookie of the Year) competing against
each other.

The highly competitive and star studded field will also include Hero Motocorp sponsored Sharmila Nicollet; the youngest Indian to retain her LET card and the Hero Order of Merit 2014 Winner Vani Kapoor, who finished third in Mineks & Regnum Ladies Classic on the LET’s Access Series recently.
